Mobile Computing Center

Our world is changing and becoming much more mobile.  Our i-Phones and Droids are one of the primary ways that we are currently receiving our electronic information.  The Mobile Computing Center in the Department of Computer Sciences is designed to teach mobile computing technologies and applications. The center is equipped with a variety of mobile devices and provides a hands-on training environment for students to work on mobile applications.  The center allows students to obtain an understanding of essential techniques for:

  • wireless communication
  • mobile communication
  • multimedia
  • streaming video
  • portable computing

Through the trainings, the existing and proposed solutions to fundamental problems in the area of mobile computing will be presented to students from both research and development perspectives. The center also facilitates the training on security and forensics techniques in wireless and mobile environment, and serves as a point of contact to give advices to organizations on mobile application development and deployment solutions.
